Our Story
Twenty Story Studio began as a notebook filled with so many story ideas, one writer couldn’t possibly pursue them all on her own. The philosophy behind our company is that creativity is boundless when you collaborate with talented people who understand that the audience is the center of any storytelling universe. Our mission is to team up with beloved and fresh voices in the book community, then partner with traditional and indie publishers to put a diverse array of engaging, enlightening, and entertaining stories into the hands of readers everywhere.
Who we are
Twenty Story Studio is helmed by Claudia Gabel, an author of eight novels for young readers and a publishing veteran with over two decades of industry experience. A former editorial director and senior executive editor at Big 5 publishers like HarperCollins and Penguin Random House, Claudia has an expansive knowledge of the book world and what makes a breakout title in the adult and children’s markets. She has also collaborated with writers at every stage of their careers–from debut to bestseller–and given them editorial guidance that elevated their books so they could shine.
Claudia learned the ropes of book packaging while working at Alloy Entertainment, and since then has mastered the art of crafting a story from initial concept to final draft, shaping authentic characters readers will root for from the first page, and engineering a plot that both pays off as well as plays with the rules. She has a stellar reputation in the industry and long-standing relationships with authors, literary agents, and editors. She lives in the Philly suburbs with her husband, daughter, and mini labradoodle.
When Claudia isn’t working on new ideas for Twenty Story Studio, she is writing her own books. Click below to visit her author website.
